“Mr Veitch, You may recall that you replaced my left hip. On Monday this week I walked to the summit of Pen Y Fan 886m/2907ft, the highest mountain in South Wales with a 35lb / 15.9 kg rucksack on my back. Although it is a relatively short round trip, just over 5 miles, I chose the most challenging route to the top. In places, especially nearer the summit, the footpath is extremely rugged and is almost vertical. I am delighted to tell you that the new hip worked beautifully and I suffered no pain or weakness whatsoever during or after the hike. In fact, I can confidently say that I was unaware of any difference in performance between my new hip on the left side and the hip I was born with on the right side! I no longer suffer any hip pain, nor do I sleep with a pillow under my leg. Thankyou for doing such a fine job of replacing my hip.”
